OHSU Casey Eye Institute Van Providing Free Vision Screening
To ALL our volunteers
- Katie Price and the OHSU team
- David Lien and the Kaiser Permanente opticians and the glasses
We were able to serve 41 patients on Saturday. Thank you local business for supplying food for the volunteers!
The OHSU Casey Eye Institute Outreach Van came to the Clackamas Volunteers in Medicine: The Founders’ Clinic on Saturday, February 21, 2015 and offered free vision-screenings to Clackamas County residents in need of eye care.
Since 2010, the Casey Outreach Van has provided service to over 3000 community members with no other access to eye care across the state of Oregon. This has given them the opportunity to identify common preventable and treatable conditions related to refractive error, diabetes, macular degeneration, and glaucoma.
The CVIM Founders Clinic assists with follow-up care and eyewear. Our mission is to provide free medical care to low income, uninsured and underinsured Clackamas County residents on an appointment basis.
