CVIM is offering telemedicine appointments by phone or video and a very limited amount of in person appointments. We are working hard to provide care to our patients while operating in the safest manner possible.

Healthcare or Rent…
Which Would You Choose?
Many of our patients come to us with this choice to make…healthcare or rent?? Grocieries or medication? Since Clackamas Volunteers in Medicine opened its doors more than seven years ago, our patient list grows with each passing year. With YOUR help, our patients won’t have to choose between two very important needs.

Dr. Rodney Connor
Past Medical Director, Dr. Mike Norris, remembers:
“Dr. Connor was an internist with infectious diseases subspecialty who practiced at the McLean Clinic and Willamette Falls Hospital in Oregon City for most of his 30 plus years of practice and was recruited away from Willamette Falls Hospital by Legacy Meridian Park Hospital when they did not have infectious disease coverage near the end of his practicing years.
Most of his career was as the only infectious disease specialist in the county. He was always extremely accessible and available for formal and informal (unpaid) consultations and wise and practical in his advice. When he retired, he became an important and key volunteer at CVIM until having to leave us reluctantly for health reasons.
He was from a doctor family. His father was for a very long time head of Metabolism and Lipid disorders department at OHSU doing a lot of research on the healthy diet of the Tarahumara people in Northern Mexico. Rod also spent time in Mexico on this long-term project. All who worked with and knew Rod will sorely miss him.”
Our sincere condolences go out to his wife Cathy and family.
